The Kickboxing Society (TKS) is a rapidly growing organization with nine clubs throughout the Netherlands at present, and the ambition is to expand this number quickly.

The Kickboxing Society is a high-energy fitness experience based on kickboxing, where you work on your strength, fitness, flexibility, and perseverance in a group setting with inspiring coaching and uplifting music in a beautiful environment. For anyone who loves a challenge and desires a powerful, vital, strong, and energetic body combined with a clear mind.

We cater to a wide audience, from children to seniors. Anyone who wants to get fit in an accessible and safe environment.

Coach

At TKS, we work with a passionate team. We currently have openings for coaches at various locations.

As a Coach, you are primarily responsible for providing classes within our Club(s). You know better than anyone what it means to create a fitness experience.

You have an affinity for and experience with sports. Being able to kickbox is an advantage, but more importantly, you are someone who is good with people and can motivate, stimulate, and entertain them. You are customer-oriented and enthusiastic, and you want to get the best out of yourself and the members who come to train with you in every class.

You believe in our mission to make the world healthier through kickboxing and want to actively contribute to this. You do this by providing excellent lessons within our lesson formats and making members happy, but also with an eye for the growth of our community.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities associated with this include:

• Together with the Club Manager, you are the face of the Club by providing our lessons according to the TKS lesson format.
• You are able to teach children as well as adults and can also engage and inspire this target group.
• Member retention and community. Fostering loyalty and stimulating the community. And ensuring quality and a positive customer experience of the Club.
• Ensure membership growth both reactively and proactively. You ensure that trial participants immediately feel at home and that they sign up, but you also actively promote opportunities within the community.
• Ensuring the maintenance and functioning of all materials at the Club
• Participation in external and internal events, and training programs (within the TKS Academy) outside of working hours.
• Act as an ambassador for TKS to the community, colleagues, and members, and always look well-groomed and neat.

What we expect from you

As a coach, you and your club manager are responsible for the club and the community. You need more than a 9-to-5 mentality and will also work evenings and weekends.

In addition to being a good coach for adults, you will also need to be skilled at teaching kids' classes. Submitting a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.

Before you can start as a Coach at TKS, you will be offered a training program to become a kickboxing trainer (free of charge).

Terms of employment

• Employment: Part-time (or self-employed)
• Hours: 3-20 per week (depending on club size and contract type)
• Work location: One of our offices in the Netherlands
• Working hours: Flexible between Monday and Sunday. Evening and weekend availability required.
• Salary: €2,500 – €2,750 per month based on 40 hours.
• Secondary: Internal training, vacation allowance, bonus scheme, and travel allowance.
