About The Kickboxing Society

The Kickboxing Society (TKS) is a rapidly growing organization with nine clubs throughout the Netherlands at present, and the ambition is to expand this number quickly.

The Kickboxing Society is a high-energy fitness experience based on kickboxing, where you work on your strength, fitness, flexibility, and perseverance in a group setting with inspiring coaching and uplifting music in a beautiful environment. For anyone who loves a challenge and desires a powerful, vital, strong, and energetic body combined with a clear mind.

We cater to a wide audience, from children to seniors. Anyone who wants to get fit in an accessible and safe environment.

Club manager

At TKS, we work with a passionate team. We currently have openings for Club Managers at various locations.

As Club Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day running of your Club. Your primary responsibility is the classes we offer to members, and you will also play a major role in teaching these classes. After all, this is how you are in most direct contact with the members and know better than anyone what it means to create a fitness experience.

In addition, you are the point of contact for employees within your Club and for members. You ensure that everything runs smoothly and that members want to stay, and you create opportunities to grow your community. The club manager is also the link between the Club and the head office, and you will have weekly meetings to make it a success together.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities associated with this include:

  • Being the face of the Club(s) through presence and providing a significant portion of the total lesson offering (75% of contract hours)
  • You are able to teach children as well as adults and can also engage and enthuse this target group (entertainment training).
  • Ensure membership growth both reactively and proactively, thinking outside the box (including clinics, events, municipalities, and companies, for example).
  • Ensuring member retention both reactively and proactively, while also thinking outside the box (strengthening the community, atmosphere, and conviviality at the Club)
  • Fostering loyalty and stimulating the community. And ensuring quality and a positive employee and customer experience at the relevant Club(s).
  • Ensuring a profitable Club. You ensure a good balance in terms of scheduling and purchasing.
  • Managing daily operations within the Club, including, for example, planning lesson offerings, hygiene and safety, and, if applicable, the bar.
  • Ensuring the maintenance and functioning of all materials at the Club
  • Managing and supervising other coaches (and other employees, if applicable). Recruiting, training, and developing coaches may also be part of the role.
  • Participation in external and internal events and training programs (within the TKS Academy) outside of working hours. You will serve as a role model for your team in this regard.
  • Act as an ambassador for TKS to the community, colleagues, and members, and always look well-groomed and neat.

What we expect from you

As a club manager, you are essentially a co-entrepreneur. You need more than a 9-to-5 mentality and will also work evenings and weekends.

In addition to being a good coach for adults, you will also need to be skilled at teaching kids' classes. Submitting a Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) is part of the application procedure.

Before you can start as a Club Manager at TKS, you will be offered a training program (free of charge).
